April 20th, 2013 the Mambo Room will host its 5th annual Dance-a-thon, a 12-hour event that focuses on raising funds for a great cause, funding community oriented dance programs, and increasing culture diversity through dance in Hampton Roads. Last year we raised over $27,000 which helped CHKD change the lives of children and promoted healthy living by funding FREE Zumbatomic classes for children. Let’s do it again!

Funding community oriented dance programs – Last year the Dance-a-thon funded a FREE Zumbatomoic (dance fitness) class for children in an effort to fight childhood obesity and support a healthy lifestyle for our youth. The class is open to public - children 7-12 years of age. It also helped to bring world renowned instructors to Hampton Roads for special workshops and performances.
Increasing culture diversity through dance in Hampton Roads. The Mambo Room aims to provide diverse dance programs via hosting guest instructors, dancers, and performers who travel
from all over the region and the nation to provide quality
instruction and dance education.
