Scholarships for Dance

The Mambo Room believes in sharing the gift of dance with children. Kids dance programs help not only foster a love of dance and arts; but an outlet that keeps kids healthy, teaches social etiquette and builds confidence. The 2009 danceathon helped to raise funds to sponsor five children to receive full scholarships to the Mambo Room Kids dance program.

In addition to the kids scholarships, Mambo Room was able to bring two international dance companies to teach authentic latin dance workshops; Victor & Burju Perez of Hacha y Machete Dance Co. and Norbetto Herrera of Mambo Dinamico Dance Co.

This year we hope to double the number of scholarships for children and bring more talent to share with the community.

"Dance for a Cause" is more than just dancing to raise money, it is saving lives and building communities through dance!
